United Nkrumaist Front, a pressure group in the Brong Ahafo region is making an urgent appeal to all true and genuine Nkrumaists in Ghana and elsewhere to unite and come under one umbrella.
The group, in a Statement issued in Sunyani and signed by its Secretary, Michael Aboagye Nketia mentioned the Convention People’s Party, the Progressive People’s Party, the People’s National Convention and the Great Consolidated People’s Party as some of the Nkrumaists political parties which must come together and unite, especially as the celebration Dr. Nkrumah’s birthday is fast approaching.
“The group calls on all members of the Dr Kwame Nkrumah – Limann traditions to throw away the selfishness, egos,…. and differences so they can unite and wrestle power back from the NPP and NDC”, the Statement said.
It further added that “If you look at some policies being proposed and implemented by past and present governments by both the NDC and NPP, you clearly see that those policies were laid down so many years ago by Dr Kwame Nkrumah and Hilla Limann.”
“Policies like Free SHS (which was to target the less privileged and poor), road and railway infrastructure, Bui Dam (more megawatts that we have now), total Independence and jobs etc.”
The Statement also urged all Ghanaians and all Nkrumaists alike, both home and abroad, that as 21st September approaches, there is the urgent need for the rank and file of the PPP, CPP, GCPP and PNC to make conscious efforts to unite.
“We need to come together as one family so we spread our ideology of the Nkrumah-Limann traditions to Ghana and Africa as a whole.”
“The Nkrumah-Limann traditions should not be a forgotten tradition as United we stand, Divided we fall. This is the time for all Nkrumaist to unite in response to what Nkrumah requested.”
“We call on all the leaders of the various Nkrumaist parties that this is the time for all to sit around the round table for one common goal that is ‘Unity’. “If Nkrumah called for one party state sometime ago, now we United Nkrumaist Front is calling for the unification of all Nkrumaist.”
“We are appealing to all leaders of the various existing parties who calls themselves Nkrumaist that they should set their eyes on 21st September, a day to unite all the Nkrumaist traditions and political parties.”
